A RECORD-breaking Bentley sold for more than £40,000 at a car auction in Leominster earlier this month.
The restored 1950 Bentley MkVI went for £41,800 – setting a new model record for Brightwells' classic car and motorcycle auctions.
Classic car expert James Dennison said the sale, on May 14, attracted a “huge turnout” and 80 per cent of the 150 cars and 14 bikes went in a sale which grossed more than £1.2m.
“We were delighted with our second sale of the year and the results clearly show there is no slackening in demand for classic vehicles,” he added.
