Top instructors show competition prowess

SEVEN of the Bromyard School of Tae Kwon-do's 13-strong instructors travelled to Crawley to be part of the fastest growing tournament circuit to hit the UK.

National All Styles (NAS) held its national championships recently at the K2 sports centre attracting competitors from all styles of martial arts to fight each other in an action packed event, finishing with a fantastic floor show and showdown for the champion of champions.

The Bromyard school's Worcester instructor Nick Osborne won silver in the men's lightweight open while Malvern instructor Corin Dongworth won silver in the open patterns, the only female entry amongst 12 males, and fought her way to gold in the female under 18s sparring.

Head instructor Julian Burton, Nick Osborne (Worcester), Ed Trafford (Bromyard) and Kirstie Russell (Martley), all qualified as all style international referee/ judges whilst Malvern instructors Corin Dongworth and Stephanie Cole and junior instructor Eddie Burton completed their first level as table officials.
