BROMYARD TOWN 1, SHIFNAL 6
BROMYARD Town played excellent football throughout this West Midlands premier Division game but league leaders Shifnal's finishing was superb.
The home team went 1-0 up in the 5th minute when Aaron Drake's cross was tapped home on the near post by Ted Baylis for his first goal of the season since returning to the club.
Bromyard dominated the play until the 30th minute when Shifnal were awarded a penalty to draw level. Two good finishes from the visitors, pouncing on Bromyard mistakes, gave them a 3-1 lead at the interval.
Within a minute of the re-start Shifnal got a fourth with a glancing header to put the game beyond Bromyard, who still displayed their pass ability on a very difficult surface, outplaying the visitors for long periods on the game.
But unfortunately whilst chasing the game, Bromyard conceded two more goals to make it 1-6.
New signing Mark Taylor came on as a substitute and put in a very good display.
