Time runs out for Bromyard

BIRMINGHAM EXILES 23PTS, BROMYARD 19PTS

BROMYARD failed to make the most of the opportunity for Midlands Six West (South West) points against league strugglers Exiles on Saturday.

Motorway traffic mayhem held players up on their journey to North Birmingham and it wasn't until the second-half that the Bromyard were up to their full compliment of 15 players on the pitch, by which time the were 20-7 down.

A first-half try by John Middleton and a conversion by Roger Dixon kept hopes alive.

A much improved second-half performance with tries from flanker Dave Hill and man-of-the-match Sam Walsh, converted by Dixon, wasn't quite enough and time ran out for Bromyard.

Both first and second teams take a break from competition rugby this weekend as the club's first and second XVs travel to Luctonians for friendly fixtures.
