Town were second best

GOODRICH 4, BROMYARD TOWN 2

BROMYARD Town were always second best in their West Midlands League Premier Division defeat at Goodrich on Saturday.

They looked off the pace and were unable to get their passing game going but nearly went ahead in the first minute.

A defensive error let in Chris Allen but he shot wide and then Kristian Wood had an effort blocked.

Goodrich grew in confidence and took the lead on 15 minutes but Tony McLean levelled with a penalty five minutes later after a foul on Allen.

Wood netted to finish off Bromyard's best move of the game on the half-hour mark.

But Goodrich took advantage of sloppy play to level two minutes later and were gifted a third goal before half-time.

The hosts completed the scoring with a penalty on 60 minutes, given away by Matt Gray.
