Town moving up table

BROMYARD TOWN 4, ELLESMERE RANGERS 1

BROMYARD Town moved away from the foot of the West Midlands Premier Division table with a 4-1 victory over Ellesmere Rangers.

They were a goal down at the break after 'keeper Aaron O'Malley was ruled to have pushed a visiting striker and the penalty was tucked away by Dan Graham.

But Bromyard dominated the second period and skipper Rob Woodward had an effort cleared off the line.

Driven on, they levelled five minutes later when Woodward headed in Mark Taylor's corner.

Craig Malins made it 2-1 soon after and then turned provider for Tony McClean to slot home from close range.

With three minutes left, a good run and cross from Rob Dew was finished off by Malins.

The three points moved Bromyard up to third from bottom in the table and with the Delahay Meadow club having three games in hand on most of the teams in the lower reaches, things are looking up.

On Saturday, Bromyard Town are away at Wyrley Rangers (3.00).
