ELMSLIE House in Malvern will mark the 400th centenary of Shakespeare's death with a Charity Gala Evening this Saturday, April 23, from 7.30pm.

Appearing at the Avenue Road venue will be

Felici, described by organisers as "an experienced company of singers and musicians, bringing classical, opera and musical songs to many audiences".

In Felici's line-up is opera singer James Gower, who made his English National Opera debut performing Lord Krishna in a work by the modern composer, Philip Glass.

James is an associate artist with Welsh National Opera and he has performed at Glyndebourne Festival Opera.

A spokesman said: "Much in demand as a concert soloist, James performs a wide variety of repertoire all over the country."

Proceeds from the concert will be split between Macmillan and the National Kidney Federation.

The "Enchanted Spring Evening" programme will include works by Mozart, Puccini, Tchaikovsky and others.
