ACCORDING to a poem by Housman, at Wenlock Edge "the wood's in trouble", but lovers of the bluegrass Americana sound will be just dandy, when the Southern Tenant Folk Union start to play.

The going places band will set toes tapping at The Edge Arts Centre, Much Wenlock, and the Edinburgh-based combo have seven albums to draw on for their repertoire, including a brand new offering, "Join Forces".

A spokesman said: "Past winners of the ‘Americana Artist Of The Year’ award the band have taken their music onto BBC One TV’s prime political show ‘The Andrew Marr Show’ plus Irish TV’s world famous chat show ‘The Late Late Show’."

The show will take place on Friday, November 4, from 8pm.
