WORCESTER people won't have to look very far to find the Sixties legends known as The Searchers, this Christmas.

The band is set to entertain an audience at the Huntingdon Hall, and they are certain to draw on an enviable catalogue of classic hits.

Promoter, John Banner said: "The Searchers emerged in 1963 as part of the Sixties Merseybeat scene.

"They were second only to The Beatles as Liverpool's finest group of the 1960s. The Searchers are legends from an era that transformed entertainment forever."

The Huntingdon Hall, as a matter of fact, is one of their favourite venues.

And this will be the ninth year running that Mr Banner has organised, and hosted, and annual Christmas Special there.

He said: "This highly entertaining show includes all of the hits, including Needles and Pins, Sweets For My Sweet and When You Walk In The Room.

"The show will be combined with anecdotes and reminiscences, plus various album tracks, B-sides and other well-known favourites."

Mr Banner added: "Come along and join John McNally, Frank Allen, Spencer James and Scott Ottoway for a night to remember."

The date for the diary is Saturday, December 17, from 7.30pm.
