ARE the Feast of Fiddles the finest fiddling supergroup in the UK, as some critics, and fans of tongue-twisters, have assertively maintained?

Local folks have the chance to make their minds up for themselves, because the band, which is rather strong on violins and alliteration, will be tuning up for a Worcester gig, this April.

A spokesman said:"Feast of Fiddles embarks on its 24th annual spring tour in 2017 to coincide with the release of their new album. "This is a band that has been variously likened to a group of geography teachers or Bellowhead with bus passes."

The spokesman added: "A band of musical friends that puts on a show of huge dynamic range performed with passion, joy and a liberal dose of fun. It all started at a folk club but has become a folk-rock institution with seven CDs to their name, several festival appearances and sell out shows up and down the UK."

The date for the diary is April 5, at Huntingdon Hall.
