CALUM Scott has been chosen as Emeli Sandé’s main support on her upcoming October arena tour, which includes the Genting Arena, in Birmingham

The breakout U.K. artist, singer and songwriter’s version of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” has become a global hit, selling over 4M copies worldwide.

The song was the best-selling U.K. single of 2016 by a British solo artist and was nominated for a Brit Award for Best Single.

It's been a busy time for Calum.

He recently wrapped up his first U.S headline tour, selling out shows across the country.

In the USA he performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America and Dancing With The Stars.

A spokesman said: "Writing with hand-picked collaborators at the legendary studio in Capitol Towers, Calum is currently at work on his debut album coming out later this year via Capitol Records US / Virgin EMI UK.

"It’s been an incredible story for the singer songwriter from Hull. Scott has the kind of stats that’s led to him becoming one of the biggest names to watch in 2017. Scott is a formidable artist who has already proved he has instant likability, a fervent fan base as well as staying power by resolving to alchemise his Britain’s Got Talent 'failure' into personal gold."

The date for the Genting Arena gig is Wednesday, October 25.
