PLATFORM heels, big hair and classic 70s hits will be the order of the day when Dyson Perrin's musical Disco Inferno takes to the stage in March.
The production will feature a raft of famous songs from the era, including hits from David Bowie, The Village People and Barry Manilow.
The story features the relationship between Jack (Ross Frazer) and Jane (Abby Smith) at the Disco Inferno nightclub during the long hot summer of 1976.
The action hots up when Jack is offered a recording contract by the seductive Lady Marmalade (Rosie Spaughton) in return for his soul.
Expect plenty of plot twists as the story progresses accompanied by sights and sounds to transport the audience back to a time of disco and dance.
More than 100 pupils will contribute on and off stage to the show, which runs from Tuesday, March 4 to Friday, March 7 at the Yates Hay Road school.
Many of the cast are in the sixth form or year 11 and are seasoned veterans in school productions.
Head of drama at Dysons, Steph Vipond, said: "We tend to do a big production once every two years so the last one was in 2006.
"They have been rehearsing since the beginning of November, three times a week."
Tickets are available from the school and cost £5 for adults and £3 for children and concessions.
To reserve tickets, call the school on 01684 564751.
