Organist was Halle orchestra supervisor

JONATHAN Price, organist and director of music at Christ Church, will play at Great Malvern Priory on Friday, July 25, at noon.

His programme includes works by Mendelssohn, Saint-Saens and Whitlock.

Mr Price was supervisor of the Halle Orchestra in Manchester for three years before moving to Bristol in 1990.

His playing has featured on three commercial recordings and several broadcasts, and he has given many recitals both in this country and in Switzerland, where he worked for a time with the organ-builders Th Kuhn AG, a company he now represents in the UK.

The audience will benefit from the large screen video display of organ console enabling them to watch the organist at work.
