YOUNG people interested in a career in theatre are being offered the chance to join one of the biggest youth theatres in the country.

The Courtyard Youth Theatre in Hereford has developed an impressive reputation for the quality of its teaching and has places for more youngsters keen to develop their drama skills.

There are opportunities for children between the ages of three and 24 to experience and participate in theatre.

It has a staggering 400 members and this year was given national recognition for its hard work and commitment when it was chosen from hundreds of youth theatres to take part in a national research project that will look at artistic standards within Britain’s youth theatres.

Getting involved with the Courtyard is a great way to meet new people and not only learn drama skills but skills that will help in many areas of life. There are currently places available in Courtyard Kids, Reception through to Year 2, Year 7 and the Senior Youth Theatre(16-17). Anyone interested should visit the education section on the Courtyard’s website at www.courtyard.org.uk and fill in an application form.

The Courtyard will then get in touch regarding term details and times. Children in other age groups can join a waitings list.

For more information on joining and bursaries available contact Sarah Thomas on 01432346532.
