LEDBURY Community Choir will have accompanying music wherever it goes, now the group has acquired a portable clavinova.

And the instrument, paid for with a grant from the Elmley Foundation, can now be borrowed for free by other community groups.

Choir spokesperson, Isobel Gibson said: “A clavinova is an electric piano, and ours will allow people to play music in venues where no other suitable instrument is available.”

The clavinova has already been used in St Bartholomew’s Church, Much Marcle, where the choir performed during a recent weddings.

The instrument will be used again for a concert in the Ledbury Community Hall, Lawnside Road, on Saturday October 25, at 7.30pm.

Ledbury Community Choir will give a joint concert with the visiting Chornelimunster Choir from Aachen in Germany.

Tickets are available on 01531 634108, and the clavinova can be booked on 01531 630042.
