Talented young musician to play at Upton Arts Music Group

UPTON Arts Music Group will be welcoming talented 20-year-old musician Heather Uren when it holds its annual New Year Concert and Tea Party on Saturday, January 23.

Heather, who is in her final year at Oxford University reading music and is a former co-principal of the National Youth Orchestra, will be playing the cello accompanied by her mother Alison on the piano.

The concert will take place in Upton’s Memorial Hall at 3pm and will include music by Teleman, Faure and Schubert as well as excerpts from musicals. It will be followed by tea, which is included in the ticket price.

As seating is limited tickets are initially only available to UAMG members. However they will go on general sale from tomorrow (Saturday, January 9), priced £10 (members £7).
