WORCESTER Arts Workshop will be showing The Lion Tamer by the Bash Street Theatre tomorrow.

A melodrama full of action, pathos and silent comedy from a bygone era, The Lion Tamer combines circus skills, slapstick comedy and live piano accompaniment to bring you a live black-and-white movie show from the golden age of the silver screen.

A down-at-heel showman is rapidly running out of acts for his travelling circus when a stranger arrives in town. When the lion tamer has an unfortunate accident, the newcomer is ‘volunteered’ for the job.

Taking inspiration from the comic genius of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, Bash Street Theatre really captures the feel of the ‘circus spectacular’ in this show.

The show starts at 7.30pm with pre-performance meals available in Cafe Bliss.

Tickets are £9 or £8(unwaged, full time education, over 65's).
