THE last remaining slot at a new festival will be filled by the winners of a Battle of the Bands.
Organisers of WuStock are counting down the days until the festival gets underway on Saturday, April 21 at Christopher Whitehead Language College and the lucky act will join headliners Toploader on the bill.
The competition will be held at the Velvet Lounge, with heats taking place on consecutive Wednesdays of March 28, April 4 and April 11 before the final on Wednesday, April 18.
The winners will walk away with £200, a day recording at The Panic Room in Evesham, a photo shoot with Katie Foulkes from KDF Photography and a half-an-hour slot at the festival.
Organiser Samuel Bacon said: “We’ve tried our best to make it a real Battle of the Bands in the sense that it will not just be a popularity contest to see which band can bring the most people, which a lot of Battle of the Bands contests tend to be.”
They will be joined by The Misers, Scarlet Carmina, Tallulah Fix, Jasper in the Company of Others, This Wicked Tongue and Morning Glory.
