Multi-talented musician with traditional roots

A SINGER, composer and multi-instrumentalist is set to stop off in Ledbury as part of her second UK tour.
Louise Jordan will bring her work on guitar, piano and cello to The Market Theatre on Saturday, March 31 She is said to be rapidly making an impact on the UK acoustic music scene and the audience at the Market Street venue can experience her purity of voice and gift for empathy and storytelling.
Her music is a product of her life’s experience and is inspired by the natural tranquillity of the countryside where she now lives.
She also draws from the traditional folk songs she regularly performs and there is also a clear influence from the classical singing she practiced in her youth.
He set will feature tracks from her debut album Tempvs, which she wrote, recorded and produced herself before its release in October.
They reflect episodes in her life and are a mix of reworked traditional songs, pieces inspired by literature and original material.
