Hear 200 years of music tomorrow
A WIDE variety of music dating back to the 18th century will be on offer at a fund-raising concert tomorrow.
Now in its 90th year, Malvern Male Voice Choir presents A Century of Song at St Edmund’s Hall, Malvern College, in College Road, from 7.30pm in aid of the local group of Cancer Research UK.
The programme should have something for everyone and the choir will be joined by soprano Emma Burrows, Billy Colbourne on saxophone and pianist James Godfrey.
A small rock band will accompany songs from the 1960s and pieces by composers such as Vaughan Williams, Gershwin and the BBC’s Ronnie Hazelhurst will also be sung.
Tickets are available in advance or on the door priced at £8 for adults and £4 for under-18s to include wine and light refreshments.
