Prices frozen at town's music festival
1:30pm Thursday 19th April 2012 in Latest By Neil Watts
REVELLERS will be able to enjoy West Fest at last year’s prices as preparations continue to gather pace.
The economy-busting charges for the annual event at West Malvern playing fields on Saturday, July 14 have been frozen for the fourth year in a row by its committee of volunteers.
This means the rates are £7 for adults, £4 for under-18s, £15 for family tickets and under-5s can go for free, with proceeds being distributed to local organisations once again.
Tickets will only be available on the day at the gate with no advance sales.
Drinkers can also enjoy a tipple at last year’s prices, with the popular West Fest Ale produced by Malvern Hills Brewery making a return.
The deadline for artists to apply for a slot on the main or acoustic stage passed last month, with the full line-up to be announced soon, but spaces are still available in the arts and craft tent and those interested in having a stall should e-mail carol@west-fest.org.uk.
Volunteers can also offer their time to carry out tasks before, during and after the event by contacting adrian@west-fest.org.uk.
