THE latest in local and out-of-town musical talent will be showcased in a city centre pub this month.

Young Pop Things presents its fourth free clubnight on Friday, July 20 from 7.30pm at The Firefly, in Lowesmoor, with Brighton’s Soccer96 headlining.

Sharing a love of SNES, meditation and warehouse raves the duo will provide their own take on the snyth/beat scene by playing everything live without the need for laptops, sequencers or samples.

Also on board are two local acts in the form of Redbook’s piano-driven electronic rock and pop-punk three-piece Answer Back.

For those with an arty eye, Richard Clarke will showcase his finely detailed paintings and drawings.
