THE Hollies, a band that in their heyday had more hit records than The Beatlles, are playing in Malvern on Friday, March 6.
The concert at Malvern Theatres will include all the band’s greatest tracks from the last five decades, giving an insight into how their much-loved classics were created, all seasoned with morsels of back-stage gossip. The Hollies music is driven by the powerful drumming of Bobby Elliott and led by Tony Hicks’s incisive guitar playing, vocals and narrative. Hollies hits include He Ain’t Heavy, Searchin’, The Air That I Breathe, Here I Go Again, and Just One Look.
According to the Guiness Book of British Hit Singles the Hollies, throughout the 1960s and 1970s, had a run of successful hit singles, more in fact than The Beatles themselves.
Tickets to the concert cost £24.50 and £22.50. Call Malvern Theatres on 01684 892277.
