Glastonbury pair brings songs and stories to Malvern

A HUSBAND and wife team who have performed on some of the UK’s biggest stages including Glastonbury and the Royal Festival Hall are to perform an intimate concert in Malvern Wells Village Hall.

On Saturday, March 21 Robin Williamson and his wife Bina will perform their show “Songs, Stories and Music for The Spring”.

The concert promises an enjoyable combination of songs and storytelling, embracing folk music from many roots.

Robin Williamson was the founder of the influential Incredible String Band in the 1960s and he and Bina later collaborated in the Just Like Ivy Band.

Tickets for the concert cost £10, available from 01684 567058 or A.D Daniels garage on the Wells Road. The concert is part of the Shindig arts scheme that brings top quality performers to rural areas. Shindig is financially supported by Arts Council England and Worcestershire County and Malvern Hills District Councils. The concert is also being sponsored by the Wells Revellers.
