THREE international artists are performing at the Guildhall in Worcester on Saturday, March 21, at 7.30pm.
The three artists, Jane Leslie MacKenzie, soprano, Michael Bochmann, leader of the ESO, and David Watkins, internationally acclaimed harpist, will perform a programme that includes both songs and instrumental pieces.
Jane Leslie MacKenzie has sung many leading roles with major opera companies in the UK, including Covent Garden, where David Watkins was formerly principal harpist and Michael Bochmann, in addition to leading the ESO, is part of the Bochmann Quartet.
The music will include the haunting Dido’s Lament and Music For a While by Purcell, Where’er you Walk by Handel, Voi che Sapete from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and Massenet’s Meditation from Thais. There will also be a selection of traditional folk songs specially arranged for violin and harp.
Tickets for the concert cost £14 (students half price) and include a glass of wine. Call the box office on 01386 791044.
