Game Of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau left the Lannisters behind to promote another of his roles – a detective coping with family tragedy.
The actor, who plays Jaime Lannister in the fantasy drama, is starring in the detective drama A Second Chance.
He was in London to promote the film, where he plays a policeman trying to look after his young family and his troubled partner, ahead of tomorrow’s world premiere of the new series of Game Of Thrones.
The film, which stars model Lykke May Andersen, is directed by Susanne Bier whose In A Better World picked up the best foreign language film Oscar in 2010.
Nikolaj will re-join his Game Of Thrones co-stars at the world premiere of season five of the show at The Tower of London.
Other cast members expected to attend include Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) and Kit Harington (Jon Snow).
