Johnny Marr has said he'd love to do another film score for Christopher Nolan.

The legendary guitarist, who last night picked up the NME Award for Best Reissue on behalf of The Smiths, said the Inception score he worked on with Hans Zimmer was a highlight of his career.

He said: "Inception was one of my favourite things I've ever done. I'd like to work with Hans Zimmer again, so another Christopher Nolan score would be great, I'd make time for it."

And Johnny, also known for his work with The Cribs and Modest Mouse, said he'd been approached to do other film scores since his work on the Oscar-winning science fiction thriller.

He said: "I've been passed a few scripts to compose for but I'm not holding my breath as I know a lot of scripts take forever to get made."
