Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are calling time on their marriage after 13 years.
The No Doubt star and the Bush frontman met on tour in 1995 and went on to become one of showbusiness’s most famous and most adorable couples, as well as having three cute kids.
Their relationship has overcome a few hurdles over the years, and numerous split rumours, but Gwen and Gavin had previously battled on.
We remember the highs and lows of their times together.
Tying the knot
Gwen and Gavin married in London in September 2002. Here they are arriving at a party in the capital with just over a week to go until their big day, looking effortlessly cool and unruffled by any pre-wedding nerves.
They exchanged vows at St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden just over a week later. Here is Gavin on his big day arriving at the church with their pet pooch decked out as flower girl.
Secret love child
In 2004 a DNA test revealed Gavin was the father of Pearl Lowe’s daughter, then 15. Gwen was reported to be shocked and upset by the revelation, but over the years they have embraced Daisy into their family.
Starting a family
The couple worked through their issues and in December 2005 they announced they were expecting their first child together. Son Kingston was born in May 2006.
Son Zuma followed in 2008.
Sharing the spotlight
When they first met in 1995 No Doubt were supporting Bush. But with Gwen’s strong voice, powerful personality and catchy tunes, No Doubt rose to chart-topping global fame, while Gavin faded away with Brit Pop.
And then Hollaback Girl star Gwen went on to have a successful solo career as well. But Gavin didn’t seem to mind taking a back seat and being a hands-on dad while Gwen’s career continued to rocket.
More affair claims
Gavin’s racy past kept coming back too haunt him. In 2010 Courtney Love claimed to Howard Stern that she slept with Gavin while he was dating Gwen. And that same year Gavin revealed in an interview with Details magazine he had a gay fling when he was in his teens with 80s New Romantic star Marilyn.
But still the couple remained strong.
Split rumours
In 2012 rumours Gwen and Gavin were on the verge of separating became rife. But they refused to acknowledge the gossip and a year later revealed they were expecting their third child. Son Apollo was born in February 2014.
Love and loyalty
In January this year Gwen got teary talking about her relationship with Gavin and how supportive he had been to her over the years.
She said: “If I look back on the whole thing the one thing that’s remained constant is that we both want the same thing. We both want to be married and we both want to be parents. So I feel really proud of what we’ve done together and… you’re going to get me crying! But I do feel proud.”
Calling it a day
But after 13 years together it seems Gwen and Gavin must now want different things and have decided to go their separate ways.
