Rita Ora has revealed that she “wanted to crawl in my bed and die” after her painful split from Scottish DJ Calvin Harris.

The 25-year-old was in a relationship with Calvin for a year, but the pair ended on acrimonious terms in June 2014.

She told Wonderland magazine: “At the time… I just wanted to crawl in my bed and die. But I got out of it the other side, I’m surviving.”

Their split was headline news when Calvin announced the news on Twitter.

“To address speculation, myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best,” he wrote.

The two have apparently patched up their differences as they’ve reunited to work on Rita’s second album, due for release for next year, after the success of their hit I Will never Let You Down.

Speaking about her second album, Rita said: “I kind of saw the light at the end of the tunnel and I just wanted to change the vibe of the whole album.

“It was initially a really lovey-dovey album because that’s where I was, but then I obviously didn’t feel like that.

“I was like ‘OK, I need to get back in the studio and write some thank God my friends are great’ kind of music.’”
