CLASSICAL ballet and a magical fairy tale will take centre stage at The Evesham Arts Centre, this Easter.

The offering will be Cinderella, from Vienna Festival Ballet.

A spokesman said: "Vienna Festival Ballet is proud to present their new Spring Ballet for the 2017 Season – the classic tale of Cinderella one of the best-known rags-to-riches fairy tales of all time.

"A mistreated young girl, a glass slipper, two comical ugly step-sisters and a handsome prince combine to make the perfect piece of story-telling."

The spokesman added: "Peter Mallek, celebrated Austrian dancer, founded the company after his illustrious career as a dancer of international renown, in 1980.

"Now in their 38th year of producing quality ballet productions, the company continues to experience remarkable success and perform great classical ballets all over the world. Their productions have all the elegance and extravagance associated with the best of ballet. Notable for the continued freshness and strength of their artistes, VFB attract highly talented dancers from around the globe."
