ROLL back the years with broadcasting legend, DJ "Diddy" David Hamilton, at The Swan in Worcester

Now in its second successful year, this fabulous 50s and swinging 60s live music show, called suitably enough "Roll Back The Years", will be a musical stroll down Memory Lane.

A spokesman said: "Starring DJ and broadcasting legend ‘Diddy’ David Hamilton, and featuring amazing band The Fugitives and the sensational Tiffany Girls, the show brings you the hits of yesteryear and evokes memories of a bygone age.

"Steeped in nostalgia, sprinkled with humour and packed full of unforgettable music from a magical era, Rock 'n' Roll Back the Years stars the legendary DJ and broadcaster David Hamilton, who began his career in 1959 and has hosted more than 12,000 radio shows and over 1,000 television shows."

The spokesman added: "David has hand-picked an amazing band of musicians, The Fugitives and the sensational Tiffany Girls, to accompany him on a nationwide tour of his two-hour show that will transport the audience back to the time of beehives, miniskirts and hot pants."

During his illustrious career, David has worked with The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison, Cliff Richard, P J Proby, David Cassidy and a whole host of other major artists.

The spokesman added: "The show is laced with David's little nuggets of information that could only be gained by someone who was actually there at this incredible time in popular music history. David will tell the stories behind the classic songs that we all know and love, while the musicians and singers storm through some of the greatest songs of the era."

The date for the diary is April 21, from 8pm.
