FIGARO plans to get married in Malvern, and local folks are invited.

The professional opera group, Felici, will make a return to Elmslie House with the Mozart classic, "The Marriage of Figaro", in a production set not in the eighteenth century of the composer's own day, but during a "crazy summer's day in 1910".

A spokesman said: "Figaro and his bride-to-be Susanna live through a crazy day where everyone around them wants to prevent their wedding from taking place. The comic opera is a riot of mistaken identities combined with some of the most exquisite music ever written. It also offers profound insights into the nature of love and forgiveness.

"The cast features James Gower as Figaro whilst Felici's creative director, Zoe Jasko is Susanna."

The spokesman added: "A donation from this performance will be made to Parkinson’s UK. Local businesses have also kindly donated prizes for a fantastic raffle, all proceeds from which will also be going to support Parkinson’s."

Tickets are available from www.elmsliehouse.co.uk and are £25 each to include a glass of fizz.

The production takes place on Saturday, July 1.

Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

There's an unreserved seating, to a maximum of 60.
