THE Witches are casting a spell over location audiences, so much so, extra tickets have been released for the show at The Coach House in Malvern.

In fact, it's fair to say that the production by Malvern Theatre Players is one of the smash hits of the season, in the local area.

A spokesman said: "The Witches, Roald Dahl’s ever popular story, is playing to sell out audiences – literally. With all twelve performances sold out at The Coach House, and great demand still for seats, a further performance has been arranged for the morning of New Year’s Eve, December 31, at 11am."

The spokesman added: "Roald Dahl’s story is magically and stylishly adapted for the stage by the master of storytelling David Wood and reveals the whole ghastly truth about these horrible creatures. Children will be thrilled by the illusions and puppetry as people disappear into thin air on stage or are turned into mice, and grown-ups will be engaged by the sly humour and fiendish fantasy. Top drawer family entertainment. It's the perfect Christmas treat.
