Where There's A Will on in Malvern

THE classic French farce Where There’s A Will directed by Sir Peter Hall is on stage at Malvern Theatres from Tuesday, February 24.

The play by the master of the French farce Georges Feydeau is about a wealthy widow called Angele, a woman who has learned the hard way that no man can be trusted.

Angele’s first husband was a philanderer and now married for the second time she is determined to keep her new man on a tight leash. She has him just where she wants him when things are complicated by the arrival of of her husband’s close friend, a man determined to persue her for himself.

Clever, laugh-out-loud funny and in the true spirit of classic French farce Where There’s A Will is a tale of marriage and infidelity and the games couples play.

The production is the second collaboration between Peter Peter Hall and English Touring Theatre following the success of Uncle Vanya last year. Peter Hall is one of Britain’s most distinguished directors of plays, films and operas. He founded the Royal Shakespeare Company and was later director of the Royal National Theatre.

English Touring Theatre are renowned for their exciting productions of both new and classic plays, often working with the country’s leading actors and directors.

There are performances every evening next week at 8pm and matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2.30pm. The performance on Thursday evening will be followed by a free post show discussion.
