Sing-A-Long with fun musical Hairspray at the Roses

FROM the fun musical Hairspray to the classic opera Die Fledermaus and the music of one of the world’s greatest rock bands Pink Floyd there is something for all musical tastes at the Roses Theatre next week.

Sing-A-Long-A Hairspray on Wednesday, February 25, is an evening that begins with a live show where a host takes the audience through a vocal warm-up, judges a fancy dress competition and hands out ‘goody bags’ filled with special props. This is followed by a screening of the 2007 movie with the lyrics for all the songs on the screen so the audience can join in. Fancy dress is optional. Tickets are £15.

The opera company Opera Della Luna are performing Die Fledermaus on Friday, February 27. With revenge, disguises and seductions it’s an evening for all fans of opera and lunacy. Tickets cost £16.50.

Think Floyd, the definitive Pink Floyd tribute act, are on stage on Saturday, February 28.

The concert includes superb renditions of Atom Heart Mother and Echoes plus music from the famous albums Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. Tickets cost £16 and the concert starts at 7.30pm.
