A show that celebrates the best of Broadway and the West End is on stage at Malvern Theatres tonight, Friday, March 13, at 7.30pm.
A live show, accompanied by a live band, will feature a selection of hits from some of the greatest musicals in history, including Grease, Mamma Mia, Blood Brothers, Les Miserables and many more.
The first modern-day musical was Roger and Hammerstein’s Show Boat in 1927. Since then composers including Porter, Irving Berlin, Rogers and Hammerstein, Weill and Gershwin, Sondheim and of course Andrew Lloyd Webber have all presented a selection of mesmerising musicals with songs that stay with audiences long after the curtains have closed. Masters of the musical takes audiences on a journey through the best of them.
The show in Malvern is part of a national tour and celebrates Masters of the Musical’s 10th anniversary. The cast includes John Langley, best-known for his role in the international tour of Mamma Mia.
Tickets for the show cost £16.50.
