Joseph returns to Malvern Theatres

THE ever-popular musical Joseph returns to Malvern Theatres this month, offering the perfect chance to throw off any post-Christmas blues with its array of dazzling costumes and instantly familiar songs.

This colourful retelling of the biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours, has a music score that is packed with sing-along favourites including Close Every Door and Any Dream Will Do, by the award-winning duo of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The show, which is always a favourite with audiences, once again stars Craig Chalmers, one of the most popular finalists from the hit BBC series Any Dream Will Do.

Edinburgh-born Craig is now familiar to thousands of people as Joseph, but before finding success in the show he was a professional vocalist and entertainer, forming part of successful boyband No Reason, who enjoyed a top ten hit and performed alongside the likes of Blue, McFly and Girls Aloud.

Joseph is directed by one of British theatre’s most successful and prolific producers, Bill Kenwright, who sat on the expert panel of judges for Any Dream Will Do alongside John Barrowman, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Denise Van Outen.
