Birds of a feather are together once more - this time on stage
12:21pm Monday 30th April 2012 in Theatre
Linda Robson and Pauline Quirk reprise their roles of sisters Tracy and Sharon from the 1980s hit show.
THE stars of one of the BBC’s most popular sitcoms will be reunited in a brand new stage adaptation at Malvern Theatres next month.
Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph, the stars of Birds Of A Feather, will reprise their roles as sisters Sharon Theodopolopoudos and Tracy Stubbs and their man-eating neighbour Dorien Green.
The show, which was set in Chigwell in Essex ran for almost 10 years until 1998 and chronicled the misadventures of the three women.
Quirke was most recently seen starring as Hazel Rhodes in ITV1’s Emmerdale, and is also well known for her portrayal of Olive Martin in the award winning drama The Sculptress, Down to Earth, Cold Blood and Missing.
Both Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph have performed in The Vagina Monologues.
A regular guest panellist on ITV1’s Loose Women, Robson’s theatre credits also include Grumpy Old Women Live.
Joseph’s theatre credits include Calendar Girls, Hot Flush, Humble Boy and Annie.
Also joining the cast are Quirke and Robson’s sons Charlie and Louis, alternating as Travis.
The new show has been created especially for the theatre by the Comedy Theatre Company, producers of the highly successful tour of Victoria Wood’s dinnerladies.
Birds of a Feather is at Malvern Theatres from Monday to Saturday, May 7-12, with tickets from £17.50.
