"Jimmy Savile paid me for sex when I was 15" - former dominatrix

Lindi St Clair, formerly known as Miss Whiplash, says Savile paid her for sex when she was 15. Lindi St Clair, formerly known as Miss Whiplash, says Savile paid her for sex when she was 15.

A RETIRED dominatrix living in Herefordshire was paid for sex by Jimmy Savile when she was 15 – alongside her 13-year-old friend.

Lindi St Clair, who is also known by her former working name of Miss Whiplash, went back to a bedsit that disgraced broadcaster Savile used in London when she was working the streets of Soho as a runaway teen.

He paid her and her 13- year-old friend £3 each for sex after being solicited by the pair close to Carnaby Street in 1968.

Lindi said that Savile, who would then have been aged 42, repeatedly refused to wear contraception with either girl – which leads her to suspect the DJ might have fathered many children with the young prostitutes he slept with in the 1960s and 1970s.

What a diversion !! Run the guy down, destroy all the good he did, wait untill he cannot respond, fill the papers with it and all at the same time as the Country is going down the tubes. What is more to the point is that Ford are closing factories, Rolls Royce are building jet engines in the Far East and Ledbury is not going to get a Shopping Centre.

It is now clear that Jimmy So Vile humiliated and damaged so many young lives over decades and the above comment shows a lack of understanding at best. I wonder why Miss Whiplash is raising her profile now about the incident (her photo raises the question as to whether she has retired fully from being a dominatrix). Thankfully Jimmy So Vile has had no history of 'good works' in Herefordshire, as far as we know, although if he did I doubt if Herefordshire Council's failing childrens services would have been of much help. Hope the people coming forward now in general find it does ultimately help them in finding peace and closure after the ordeals they went through in their youth.

Some people will stoop to any level for a bit of publicity!!! You Miss Whiplash were a prostitute on the streets of London, you were asking for money in return for sex! You got what you wanted, and he got what he wanted, END OF!!! Now go crawl back under your stone and stop trying to prostitute yourself again by way of selling your probable lies to the press!!!

Whoar! Why isn't Lindi St Clair standing for election as the West Mercia Police Commissioner next month? She'd walk it!

What is it with people having to change people's/organisatio
ns' names when having a dig at them? Jimmy So Vile? Hereford Futiles? It's pathetic at best. This sense of immaturity only makes what could be a decent, valid point appear childish.

Easy pickings now he's not here to defend himself. Compensation plus publicity by selling their stories to the press!!!

What a role model she is - proud to have a past like hers, and making it seem OK to youngsters today. She is a disgrace and should keep her sordid past to herself and enjoy our County and its tranquility.

What I find strange and little scary here is that these accusations have taken until now to come to light. I can understand it being a problem back in the 60's & 70's where an accusation against someone of JS standing would have been brushed off, but over the last 15-20 years there have been a number of fairly high profile cases of abusers being convicted 20,30 and 40 years after the offenses took place, the police have been under greater scrutiny and could not have ignored it. The question needs to be asked why those who witnessed his actions did not come forward and why do we have former NHS nurses etc now saying they "did all they could" to protect the children. Not only should the BBC be investigated but so should all the other institutions that allowed this to continue. Lets be honest by the 90's JS was little more than a fringe celeb at best .. something stinks to high heaven in all of this. One final comment he will never be convicted of anything, have the opportunity to face his accusers or defend his innocence (unlikely but still in this country you are innocent until proven guilty). The problem is that he is been tried and convicted in the court of media attention and public opinion which is little more than the ancient kangaroo court syndrome.

The bloke is DEAD! Where are we going with this? Why bring it up 40 years after the event? Surely if your abused you would certainly want your justice and day in court?? Too late now in my opinion and a lot of people should be ashamed of themselves as clearly a lot knew what was going on and I think they will look for others to use as escape goats now..
As sad as it all is I do feel that a lot of this is about money, the word 'compensation' comes to mind...

There's a bandwagon effect going on, for sure, but you can also be sure that for every woman coming out and talking about this now (and most will only ever do so anonymously), there are several more who will still keep it secret and carry on blaming herself and feeling ashamed.

Yes, he's dead and can't be prosecuted. Yes, it's very likely that not every one of the hundreds of accusation is true. Yes, attitudes were different (though not THAT different) in the 60s and 70s. Yes, the Murdoch press and the Daily Fail are using this as a chance to bash the BBC.

However, the evidence that he was a massive, lifelong serial abuser of girls under the age of consent is overwhelming. Surely that negates any good works he did - even in the rather unlikely event that the good works weren't mainly a cover for what he was up to? And surely that is a bigger issue than whether or not Ms St Clair is out for publicity?

Thankyou,Andrew Warmington, for your post. J.S is without doubt,as the police have said,a dangerous and predatory paedophile. To even try to excuse this behaviour by citing good deeds done,is nothing but an insult.Only last week,a lengthy discussion took place on this forum regarding safeguarding children, and yet just one week later, people seem to think victims should just live with it.Amazing.

I say, dig saville s remains up, pop what's left of him in some sophisticated freezing machine and when the technology is available, bring him back to life, pop him into Gaol Street for a quick interview and then straight over to Bath Street for an appearance before the Magistrates.
This will send a clear message out to all those who commit crime. 'Even after Death we will come after you and bring you to Justice.
That said, for the purposes of perspective, I've gotta say that Saville never violated me and anyone who says he did is an embellisher.

I think what you meant here is that he "was" a dangerous and predatory (alleged) pedophile, he has, nor ever will be arrested or convicted of anything .. yes the investigation needs to be done in the hope that any other person involved in this is rightly tried and if found guilty sentenced accordingly, but please remember an accusation is not proof of guilt.
What ever good JS did is irrelevant IF the evidence points to him being a sex offender, but until that time he is, like any other person, innocent until proven guilty, and no I am not sticking up for him I am, in my own way, sticking up for the British justice system where guilt has to be proven beyond all reasonable doubt which in this case will not happen as JS cannot answer the accusations against him.

Colin is right. Our Country is being carried along on a wave of hysteria not to different to when Diana died.
We are all disgusted with the Saville revelations but the moment something is said to put some perspective on things, you become a Climate Change Deny'er, they shout Witch and you then have to explain that you have no sympathy with an alleged paedophile and you end up apologising and excuse yourself for proposing something that is simple common sense. We must protect our Judicial System albeit, from time to time someone like Saville makes that difficult.
How you doing Colin.

Why stop with this bloke?

Why not bring out the sordid past of every priest, footballer, pop star, politician, 'D' list celebrity, DJ, policeman, magistrate et al who have ever had their misdemeanors swept under the carpet by their colleagues, superiors or the law itself.

This is not some isolated surprise, someone is always protecting someone somewhere.

Andrew Warmington says...
2:38pm Tue 30 Oct 12

The fact that there's hysteria about paedophiles doesn't mean there aren't paedophiles or that they shouldn't be prosecuted.

Precisely because Savile is dead and can't be tried, we can't and shouldn't apply the same levels of proof that you would in court. Just as you do in daily life, you look at the balance of probabilities, which in this case is overwhelmingly that he was a lifelong predator on young teenage girls.

Andrew, If you are directing your post to me, I did not say there were no paedophiles and I did not say that they shouldn't be prosecuted.
Where, on these postings have you read these statements. I cant find them Andrew. You are the only one who has come up with this.
I can normally give it and take it Andrew but you've bruised my feelings.

I appreciate that we do not want a frenzied, hysterical outpouring, but neither do we want another wishy washy enquiry, where we are told
"lessons must be learnt, and" this can never happen again." But it does.Over and over again.People must feel that they can come forward,if they are the victim of abuse.
