High school placed in special measures

John Beddoes High School in Presteigne has been placed in special measures.
The secondary school, just over the Herefordshire border in Powys, has received a damning report from Welsh education body Estyn in which inspectors ruled both performance and prospects for improvements were “unsatisfactory”.
