Man dies after assault - murder investigation launched

A MURDER investigation has been launched after a man died following an assault in Worcester last night.

West Mercia Police was called by the ambulance service to Teme Road, Tolladine, at 7.22pm and arrived to find a man seriously injured outside a property. 

He was confirmed dead at the scene by a doctor a short time later. A post mortem will take place in due course.

The area around the property has been cordoned off and a murder investigation launched.

 

Detectives are appealing for people to come forward if they know anything at all about the incident or if they were in the Teme Road area last night and saw or heard any suspicious activity.

An incident room has been set up at Worcester Police Station and anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting the incident reference 514-S-020113.
