Village school on Herefordshire border 'outstanding'

STAFF and pupils at Eastnor Parochial Primary School are celebrating an outstanding Ofsted inspection.

Headteacher Susan Lowry is particularly proud that the school is among the first in the county to be judged “outstanding” in every aspect of its work since a new Ofsted framework was introduced in September.

Inspector Kathy Hooper found pupils’ behaviour “impeccable”, adding: “They are considerate, and use their initiative.

“They are able to question, discuss and reflect on matters with great maturity.”

Miss Lowry and her team were also singled out for praise.

“The school has excellent capacity to continue to improve because of outstanding leadership and a strong commitment among all staff to developing the best within each child,” the report says.
