War hero to deliver talk in Hereford

FALKLANDS War hero Simon Weston is to talk in Hereford about the importance of being shown dignity, respect and understanding.

Simon sustained serious burns following a bomb attack on the ship on which he was travelling during the conflict.

The event at Hereford United Football Club will take place between 9.30am and 4pm on February 1.

It will also include speeches from philanthropist Clive Richards, Richard Claridge from Claridge Nursing Homes and Councillor Nick Nenadich, as well as Paralympic gold medalist and MBE recipient Josie Pearson and Hereford United football captain Luke Graham.

The occasion is to mark National Dignity Day and is being organised by the Association for Care Training (ACT).
