COLD wind and rain did not deter members of Ledbury Rotary club from holding a Christmas collection outside the Coop stores in New Street.

Dressed in festive hats and high-visibility yellow tabards, the Rotarians collected more tham £350 for the Salters Hill Charity, based just outside the town.

Club president Rob Hooper, who used to be a volunteer driver for Salters Hill, said: “This is a wonderful organisation which helps those people with learning difficulties who face huge challenges in their lives.

“Salters Hill provides training in a number of new skills as well as independent living and it is with much gratitude to the generosity of our community that we can present this money to our local charity.”
