A SMALL amount of cash was stolen when thieves broke into council offices in Ledbury last night.
Herefordshire Councilβs customer service centre in St Katherines on the High Street was targeted just before 11pm.
Police believe intruders entered the offices by breaking a window before stealing cash from a cupboard.
PC Pete Webb, from Ledbury police station, said: βIn light of this incident, I would like to remind local businesses to review their security measures and ensure that no money is kept in offices overnight.
"This office building is in the centre of a public car park. I would appeal to anyone who may have used the car park that evening and noticed any suspicious activity or any people hanging around the area in the hours leading up to the burglary, to call us.β
