HUNDREDS of people turned out to take part in an old Herefordshire tradition.

Around 300 people went to The Tram Inn in Eardisley to join in with the annual wassail - an ancient English ritual intended to bring a good cider apple harvest for the year.

The Leominster Morris turned out to lead the wassail, which includes carrying flaming torches through an orchard where cider is sprinkled on the roots of trees.
