LEDBURY Allotment Association has been granted planning permission to build a car park at its site in Wellington Heath.
The association applied to Herefordshire Council for permission to create the car park of permeable hard standing at Topfield, Burtons Lane.
It will have 11 parking spaces for the sole use of association members and their families.
One space will be for the exclusive use of the Ledbury Acquired Brain Injury Unit which, for the regular use of its patients, occupies an allotment under the association’s local community charitable social remit. Herefordshire Council has approved the application but did make a specification that the public footpath that crosses the site is not obstructed or encroached upon
