Help for Heroes auction in Ross-on-Wye

A FUND-RAISING ball and auction is to be held in Ross-on-Wye in aid of Help for Heroes.

Charlotte Reynolds and Jessica Teague have already started planning for the event at the Chase Hotel for September 28 after raising nearly £20,000 at balls in 2009 and 2010.

“With the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan coming ever closer, we do not want the public to forget that the end of the war does not mean the end for wounded troops,” said Charlotte.

Yes they are heroes, they put there life on the line every day to help to stop terrorism in this country and to try and make other countries stable. They are paid very little for the amazing work they do, but they still go out there and put there life on the line and spend six months at a time away from there loved ones. I support them fully and people should thank them for what they do.

Quite Right - any support we can show our troops, we should. We owe our armed forces a huge debt of gratitude for the sacrifices they,and their families make.
