Bishop of Hereford talks business at popular city pub

THE Bishop of Hereford and the landlord of a city pub shared a drink to discuss the link between business and the community.

The Rt Rev Anthony Priddis and Peter Amor, landlord of The Barrels, both feature in an online film by Hereford-based business guru Tim Kidson.

Tim, a partner in international consultancy TKA, asks whether business and community groups should work more closely together.

In an unexpected twist the film sees the bishop filmed in the Barrels, while Mr Amor is interviewed in the Bishop’s Palace garden with the cathedral behind him.

The bishop spoke of how the church was working with county company Allpay to provide better broadband in rural Herefordshire.

“We had the means to help Allpay deliver what it wanted to do in the shape of 420 churches mainly situated at the centre of villages and with the advantage of towers which allpay could use," said Bishop Anthony.

"It was a win-win situation we were happy to back.”

I wonder if his grace got a bit tiddly, went next door to the "Taste of Raj" and had a lovely hot cuzza completely neglecting to turn up for evensong and looked worse for wear at early prayers.

Correct, its Tim Kidson - badly written article implies otherwise.
