Incendiary device removed from Leominster home

Police have successfully removed an incendiary device from a Leominster residence.

The device - dating from World War Two - was removed from Mortimer Street.

Police were called to the property at around 9.40am after a builder working on the the property found the device in a garden shed.

Police set up a cordon on arrival, the device was safely detonated in an area outside of the town. There was found to be no risk to public of fire or explosion .
